Ariel Birkholz

Therapist | Graduate Intern in Counseling

Hi there! I’m Ariel, and I’m excited to be a Counseling Intern here at Counsel RVA as I work towards becoming a licensed LPC. I have a passion for supporting clients from all walks of life and addressing a wide range of challenges.

I love working with teens, adults and couples who are navigating everything from life adjustments and anxiety to relationship issues and more. My goal is to help each person I work with find healing and growth in their own unique journey.

I believe in a collaborative approach, focusing on what you want and need during our time together. I mainly use cognitive behavioral and person-centered methods, but I’m always open to integrating other techniques that resonate with you. My sessions combine talk therapy with hands-on activities tailored to your individual needs.

I understand that everyone has their own story, shaped by unique beliefs and experiences. I come to every session with an open heart and a genuine desire to learn and grow alongside you. I’m here to support you through whatever challenges you may be facing, and I can’t wait to start this journey together!
